Cannabis and Science: The Complexity That Makes the Difference
26 March 2026Fatigue, both physical and mental, accompanied by difficulty concentrating and drowsiness, are among the most common sensations during seasonal changes.
This is often influenced by changing daylight hours, with either more or less sunlight, as well as new work and social rhythms.
The balance of hormones and neurotransmitters, which is affected by sunlight, is also disrupted during seasonal transitions. These regulators of our body, such as melatonin and serotonin, take a few days to adapt to the new rhythm. Melatonin, responsible for the sleep-wake cycle, can cause lethargy or insomnia depending on its imbalance. Serotonin, on the other hand, regulates mood, and its decrease can lead to a drop in mood levels. This explains why it is common to feel more tired, irritable, or experience difficulty sleeping during seasonal changes.
Over time, the body readjusts to the new season, and hormone and neurotransmitter levels stabilize.
In the meantime, it is possible to adopt small strategies to ease the adaptation process, such as using CBD-based products.
A study published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information highlighted that CBD can modulate the sleep-wake cycle, reducing drowsiness and improving concentration.
These findings suggest that CBD can be a valuable ally for those looking to enhance their focus and productivity.
